We first began learning about blockchain through our MOSCA DAO, which was previously called Smarter Than Money Cooperative—a community grounded in

people-first values.

Our journey started with weekly training sessions, where we dug

into the real power behind

this technology.

At first, blockchain felt like a buzzword. To many, it still does.

The moment someone hears it,

they often think of volatile cryptocurrencies or

get-rich-quick schemes.

But the deeper we looked, the

more we saw that blockchain is

not about speculation.

It's about transformation.

Blockchain offers something we desperately need in today's world: trust without control.

It creates transparency. It gives power back to the people. And it allows us to build systems that are decentralized, yet deeply connected.

In our DAO, we experience this firsthand. We co-own a structure where value is shared,

decisions are collective, and

everything is transparent.

It's not perfect, but it's real. And it's a glimpse into what a better

future can look like.
