🌐 3 Days, Countless Insights:

Reflections on Our Blockchain Workshop

Last week, Steve and I wrapped up our very first 3-day blockchain workshop - three 20-minute sessions spread across three days - and our hearts are still full. 🌺

What started as an idea to share the basics of blockchain in a simple, approachable way became so much more.

didn’t just teach; we learned, connected, and grew alongside everyone who showed up with curiosity and open hearts.

Day 1: Why This Matters

We began not with technology, but with the deeper question: Why might this matter to you?

Instead of overwhelming people with jargon, we introduced blockchain as a powerful technology with a human purpose — not to complicate life, but to open hearts and minds.

We also shared why blockchain matters to us: how it represents transparency, empowerment, and the possibility of building systems rooted in trust and community.

From there, we introduced the core principles of blockchain - decentralization, transparency, immutability, and security - the very qualities that make it different from traditional systems.

This gentle start created space for curiosity, grounding the conversation in both personal meaning and essential foundations.

Day 2: Blockchain in Action

On the second day, we shifted into how it works.

We explored blockchain through the lens of payments, decentralized identity, and ownership (tokenization) - showing how the technology plays out in everyday examples.

And just as important, we highlighted the problems blockchain is designed to solve:

  • Payments: reducing costly middlemen and delays in sending money across borders.

  • Identity: giving individuals ownership of their digital identity instead of relying on vulnerable, centralized databases.

  • Ownership (Tokenization): making it possible to own and transfer digital assets securely, without fraud or confusion.

The goal wasn’t just understanding the mechanics, but realizing how these tools are already creating new ways for people to interact with money, trust, and identity.

Day 3: Real-World Applications

We wrapped up with practical steps and possibilities.

Together, we looked at real-world examples of blockchain in use - and even offered individuals the opportunity to learn how to open their own digital crypto wallet.

Most importantly, we shared real stories of people taking action with crypto and payments, alongside some of our own experiences navigating this new landscape.

This session was about empowerment: not just hearing about blockchain, but seeing what it looks like in practice - and experiencing the first step into participation.

Teaching this workshop reminded us that blockchain isn’t about charts or code - it’s about people. It’s about how we relate to money, trust, and one another.

We feel grateful for the chance to walk this journey together, and excited for where it leads next.

Want to Go Deeper?🌺 If something in this workshop stirred your curiosity, we’d love to continue the conversation.
